“If a person suffers from low self-esteem, they can not act on their intuitive impulses because the fear of failure is too intense. Intuition, like all meditative disciplines, can be enormously effective if, and only if, one has the courage and personal power to follow through on the guidance it provides. Guidance requires action, but it does not guarantee safety. While we measure our own success in terms of our personal comfort and security, the universe measures our success by how much we have learned. So long as we use comfort and security as our criteria of success, we will fear our own intuitive guidance because by its very nature it directs us into new cycles of learning that are sometimes uncomfortable.”~Anatomy of the Spirit, Caroline Myss
As Caroline Myss so poignantly points out, the inner work of the soul can stir up some fear.
We intuitively know that if we begin to show up to meditation, which is connection to Self and Source, then we know that we will begin to move energy and that which has been in place, may move.
We have to be brave and courageous to walk the spiritual path. We have to be willing to have it all fall away. We have to surrender to “thy will” and not our own, humbling ourselves to the truth that we are not in control.
The divine is leading, we are never in control, though we often think we are. To really connect in with Self, we have to build our self-esteem, we have to have confidence, we have to love ourselves enough to carve out time to get to know ourselves.
In a rush and busy world that has falsely taught us that love is giving and putting others first, we must unlearn what we think we know. We must be willing to not only talk of “self-love” but to really practice it, day in and day out.
For the truth is, we can tell what we prioritize and what we are committed to by where our butt is right now. Look at where you are, right now, what you are doing, right now and you will see what you are really committed to.
We must begin to prioritize that which most ignites our passion and serves our soul. We must be willing to give up all security and the worship of all false Gods if we are to live in alignment, know ourselves and therefore be able to serve in a fulfilling way.
The thing we love the most must be the thing we do the most. (click to tweet this.)
We spend our time mindlessly watching television, surfing the web, talking on the phone complaining about our lives and then we wonder where the time has gone and why we aren’t where we thought we’d be.
It is simple, the key to happiness. Yet, it’s not easy.
It takes being willing to anchor in to Self, to feel our feelings, heal our wounding, forgive others and move on, so we can teach & share to others what we’ve learned by walking our path in integrity & honesty, owning our pain & transmuting it- becoming responsible as creators of our own lives.
Write your goals each day. Get deep into the life you envision. Sit with it. Meditate on it. See it. Visualize it, feel it and watch it unfold in your mind’s eye like a movie and be moved by what you see and feel.
Write down your goals. Review them daily.
Do you know what is most important to you and what you most want?
Here are some great ways to find out:
Read inspiring books.
Walk.
Dance.
Meditate.
Write.
Let yourself dream.
And when spirit moves you, and visions come and your dreams speak to you and your heart aches for the life you know you could live, don’t pretend you didn’t hear it.
We must be courageous enough to embody our truth, walk in the world of risk and leap off cliffs. How else will we create the new Earth, teach our children well and be happy inside?
What God shall we serve? A vengeful God? An IRS God? A President God? A money God?
Or, shall we each ignite our own light in our hearts, as the Gods & Goddesses that we are, and use our vital life-force energy for actualizing in reality that which dwells in the secret chamber of our hearts?
Your days will pass you by, the years will come and go, and the way you will have what you’ve always wanted is if you begin to put your attention, intention and time into it now.
Feel. Heal. Let go.
Cultivate the seeds of your deepest, secret, heart-spaces and water them daily. Nurture your inner soul and let go of anything that binds.
That is how you find yourself, feel your essence, and grow in intuitive knowing and self-love.
Do it. Do it now. Don’t delay. Time waits for no woman. 🙂
All my love,
