The Future Is Yours to Create and Other Reasons Why I'm not a Future Teller

One of my least favorite parts about offering clairvoyant readings is when people ask me questions about what will happen in their future.

I know. I call myself a psychic. And I am. And for me, that doesn’t mean that I predict the future.

I feel like I’ve said this a thousand times, but some things bear repeating.

Psychic means, “Of the soul.” Being a psychic is about looking at who you are on a soul level. It’s about knowing that who we are is spirit- everlasting, beautiful, perfect, spirit.

I’m clairvoyant. Therefore, I see images in my mind’s eye about what’s going on for you in your life, what patterns are at play, your natural talents and gifts, or where you’re struggling and holding onto past pain.

I help you see the parts of you that may be unconscious. We bring them into the light so you can have parts that you hide, or make you feel ashamed, be seen, validated and healed.

Or, sometimes, it’s not that deep. Sometimes, it’s about helping you tap into your own psychic abilities, and giving you tools and processes to trust your own knowing and awareness and to use your body, all your senses, as a guide.

What it’s never about for me, is telling your future. Here’s why:

Your future is not set in stone. It’s yours to create through the power of your intention and your choices.

You can change your future. You can choose a different route, or visualize and manifest into being other possibilities and options.

Your vibration determines what you’ll create. That is to say, where you’re creating from has everything to do with what you’ll end up with.

Said another way, like attracts like. Your vibration will attract to you people and circumstances that are a match for your vibration.

If you want to change your outer experiences, you have to change your vibration inside. This is law. It’s called the Law of Attraction and it’s true and it works.

If someone asks me: will this happen, or will this thing make me happy? that’s totally dependent upon your internal state now. What I mean to say is that if you’re miserable, unhappy, anxious and untrusting of life, and you want to know if something will come along to change all that…I have bad news for you.

You’re not magically going to be saved by outer experiences. If you can’t cultivate feeling grateful, grounded, safe and peaceful in your life, here and now, then nothing that happens in the future will save you. This is good and bad news.

The good news is, it’s all in your control. You get to create your life. You can have anything you desire. You have to believe in the power of your dreams, your imagination, your mind and your intention. Then, you have to cultivate those emotions in the here and now and make choices in alignment with that vibe.

Manifestation = Thought (intention) + emotion.

The bad news is that there’s no magic man who’ll come and make it all alright. There’s no superb job that’s going to make you feel safe and good.

Eckhart Tolle says it best in his revolutionary book, The Power of Now. There’s no better guide for navigating reality, in my opinion.

The quality of your consciousness at this moment is what shapes the future- which , of course, can only be experienced as the Now.

You may win $10 million, but that kind of change is no more than skin deep. You would simply continue to act out the same conditioned patterns in more luxurious surroundings. Humans have learned to split the atom. Instead of killing twenty people with a wooden club, one person can now kill a million just by pushing a button. Is that real change?

If it is the quality of your consciousness at this moment that determines the future, then what determines the quality of your consciousness? Your degree of presence. So the only place where true change can occur and where the past can be dissolved is in the Now.

No one likes that answer. We want to just feel better and be reassured that life will turn out.

Sorry, that’s not the way it works. We actually have to create change here and now. We actually have to do some work. And the answer is always deepening our relationship with Now.

Meditation helps. Walks help. Being present helps. Seeing what unconscious patterns are at play keeping you stuck helps. Reading your aura + your chakras helps. That’s what I do. In present time.

Therefore, I’m never interested in telling anyone their future. That’s not what I do. I’m interested in assisting people in seeing where they’re deluding themselves, lying to themselves, avoiding the Now and hoping that they can magically end up with a great future where they’re happy, even though they’re depressed now and aren’t willing to make the choices to change it.

Tough love, babe. It’s tough love. I can say to you, “Oh yes, you’ll be so happy and marry this guy and get money here and have this great job.” But, what does that do? What’s that worth?

I can tune in and assist you in knowing what choices are light and vibrant and juicy for you- and therefore expansive, so you should go that route…but that’s always done by tuning into the Now, never by telling the future.

What’s most important is doing your Soul’s work that you came in this lifetime to do, Now. And that’s always about deepening our relationship with the Now and being present. That’s the only place we ever have real power.

Me? I’m interested in your REAL power. REAL presence. Cultivating a relationship with your soul, God, the Now. Whatever you want to call it, known by a thousand names, She is you, your true spirit- everlasting, beautiful, radiant and as competent as the sun.

Get to know Her. Isn’t that way better than knowing if you’ll get a job?
