Being Psychic Doesn’t Mean Knowing Everything

When I was pregnant, we chose not to find out the gender of our baby. The whole time, I was convinced it was a boy. Maybe I should’ve noticed my altar. Looks like a lot of pink, eh?

Here’s why:

One night, I had a dream in which I was sitting upon a park bench. A young boy came up to me and told me his name was Jonah. In the dream, I slapped my knee and exclaimed with joy, “Of course, you’re Jonah!”

I woke up and thought, I’m having a boy and his name is Jonah!

After that, I was convinced. Given that I’ve always been a vivid dreamer and much of my personal psychic information comes through dreams, that was it for me. Done deal.

Until, I dreamt it was a girl. Then, I was confused. I had a couple dreams of a baby girl, but none so vivid as my Jonah dream. Besides, I’d asked to receive the name via my dream, and I did, so there. 

I told everyone I knew it was a boy. I am psychic after all. Of course I knew. 

Then, it became that I had to know. It was my job. If I didn’t get this right what kind of psychic was I, anyway?

Here’s what I know for sure about how my psychic ability works. It’s not like I walk around all day knowing everything about everything.

I’m clairvoyant and clairsentient as my primary senses. I see images and feel feelings and then I know how to interpret them.

I’m much better at this for other people. That’s why I go see my own psychics for readings. Sometimes, it’s just too close to home to see for yourself.

It drives me nuts when people expect me to know the winning lotto ticket numbers, or to read their minds.

That’s not what I do.

What I do is I can read you. I look at you, and without doing a reading I know a lot about you. I sense things, read your facial expressions, can tell things about you by the way you act, move, speak. The tone of your voice.

But for me, that’s what everyone can do. Part of being intuitive is being aware. It’s noticing subtle energy.

Then, there’s what I do when I have your permission to read you and enter your space. In that context, I say a prayer, adjust in, and see what I see.

Then, spirit, and your energy, show me images and pictures which I can interpret. That’s being psychic, for me, in my specific abilities.

So, that’s my exscuse. 🙂

In the end, it’s not about being perfect. Part of my mission in my business is to dispel the myth that being psychic means we predict the future or see dead people.

Being psychic is about owning our space. Healing ourselves. Opening our chakras so more of our soul energy can flow through and we can operate with more presence and power.

It’s more about soul growth and less about getting it right.

I got caught up in proving my worth and being perfect + right. That’s never what it’s about, and is actually what keeps us from claiming our psychic power. For then, we fear that we must prove ourselves, less we be rejected.

So, know, that our psychic awareness doesn’t mean we know it all. It simply means we have access to a whole world of cues and patterns and subtle energy that can guide our way on.
