Hello Love! I want to share with you today something I’m super excited about. I was approached by a friend and colleague to be a featured expert on her telesummit.

When I got the call, it was a no-brainer! I was an immediate, YES!

And then, life got busy. My car broke down. Life happened. I was having my own teleseminar…

And my mind came in and said…

• Maybe now’s not the time
• I don’t have enough time
• This is really going to make me busy
• I have a young daughter

And other such things the mind comes up with to make us play small, say no, avoid what we’ve been asking for.

I knew better on this one. Whatever it took, I was going to make it happen, for this is the kind of thing I’d been asking for in my business!

To be featured by another entrepreneur, to be interviewed about my methods in business, what an honor!

So, I had to hustle, and I had things to do to prepare. And, I was *really* prepared already because of all the work I’ve done over the years in my business. I knew what to do, and when they needed bonus gifts and offers from me, I was ready.

I thought of my girl Oprah. And the quote she’s said that I’ve remembered over the years:

“I believe luck is preparation meeting opportunity. If you hadn’t been prepared when the opportunity came along, you wouldn’t have been lucky.”

 

It’s like this...you don’t want to be caught with your pants down when opportunity comes knocking! Being prepared, showing up, that’s half the battle!

In feng-shui for romance, I’ve read that if you want to attract a partner, you have to prepare the house. You wouldn’t invite people over for dinner and then do nothing to prepare.

If you want a lover, clean up the bedroom. Make space in a drawer. Buy an extra toothbrush. Get your house ready- for you’re showing the universe that you’re prepared!

Then, when that guy or gal comes knocking, you’re not having to worry about inviting them back to your messy room with a floor full of dirty clothes, and no space for them to fit.

Business is like this too. We connect to ourselves so we know who we are and can serve from the heart. Then, we share our message with the world. We blog, or build a website, create offers, and work at our business, for that moment, or that day, when someone comes along with an opportunity, and then, we’re prepared, we can say a hearty YES!

Luck is not luck. Luck is being prepared when opportunity knocks.

So, my love, opportunity knocked. And now I want to share it with you, I so hope you’ll join me, it wouldn’t be the same if you weren’t there.
