Many of my clients want to make a change. Perhaps you do, too. Is there some area of your life where you feel like the results you’re producing just aren’t what you want?
Do you feel that you’ve been trying for so hard, for so long, and you’re just not sure if all your efforts are worth it because nothing seems to change?
Maybe you’ve heard of Abraham Maslow. He was an American Psychologist, most known for creating the “Hierarchy of Needs.” This was a theory of psychological health illustrating that we must fulfill human needs in priority, starting with basic food, shelter, etc. and culminating in self-actualization.
He said,
What is necessary to change a person is to change his awareness of himself.
The problem is that so often we want a change, we want something to be different, but we aren’t aware of what’s really at the root of why we’re currently creating what we’re creating. Do we know what is takes to create awareness of ourselves?
Panache Desai said it this way:
Things only have a power over you as long as they remain hidden, and you are in denial. When they are brought into the light of your awareness, you are free.
So how do we bring more awareness?
We must notice our thoughts, our energy, and the vibe we’re creating from. To really bring it down to earth, let me give you an example.
Let’s say you have a new job and it’s not what you thought and you’re not sure if you should stay or go. You’re struggling, you don’t like it, you don’t like the people.
What should you do?
First, bring attention to those thoughts. Notice them. Allow yourself to consider that these are the whisperings of your soul or your higher guidance trying to get your attention. Then, to bring more awareness…
Ask yourself these questions:
- What am I aware of?
- Who does this energy belong to? Is it mine, someone else or something else?
- What other choices are available to me that I’m not seeing or not aware of?
- What else could I create?
- How does it get better than this?
You see, when we’re in judgment, that is to say when we’ve decided and concluded that something is bad, or wrong, or not working, then we’re cutting off the energy.
The universe says, Oh, your job sucks, okay, yes, Creator Goddess, your job sucks, your wish is my command…and your job keeps sucking.
However, if, on the other hand, you ask a question, then you’re in the energy of curiosity + creation + you’re allowing the universe to show you something else. This can bring more awareness and then you can shift and change things.
Sometimes, just asking is what can change things for us
Simply say, what else could I choose? What else is possible? How does it get better than this? These questions align us with flow and allow us to have more awareness.
Beyond just getting curious and bringing attention and awareness to your energy, it helps to have a mirror. A reflective touch-stone, in the form of a coach, counselor, reader or friend.
We can’t see ourselves in a vacuum. We can’t always see what’s in our blind-spot, but someone else can.
If you want to get even deeper into awareness, and really make a big change in your life, like start attracting more money, or having that relationship you’ve so long desired, then you have to get deep down into what’s really running the show and allow yourself to be seen + heard.
Choice creates awareness
Tony Robbins says:
If you always do what you’ve always done, you’ll always get what you’ve always gotten.”
Choice creates awareness. When we choose something new, a new pattern, habit, or way of living, then we get more awareness.
For example, let’s say that you’ve been stuck about whether or not to break up with a partner. You’re on the fence. Soon enough, you just choose. You do it. Inside of that choice, new awareness comes to light. New options + actions are available.
It’s the same with following our intuition. In the end, it doesn’t matter if we didn’t follow it, or we chose wrong. With each new choice + action, we gain new awareness.
So how do we really change our life?
We have to ask questions, get curious and make new choices! We have to choose to do things differently. We have to be willing to take risks, invest in ourselves + show the universe that we’re ready + willing!
And, most importantly, we have to be willing to reflect with another.
As Albert Einstein said:
We can’t solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them.
If we’re not willing to be seen, to receive feedback, and to admit that we need help and can’t go it alone, then we’ll never change! Do you know how many people aren’t even willing to admit there’s a problem? If you’re frustrated + ready for something different, then this a miracle moment!
In my Landmark seminars they always said,
communication is access to power
It’s true!
If you’re up for real change, then I’d love to work with you!
In two power sessions with me, we’ll get to your deep rooted stories holding you back and we’ll clear that energy + I’ll teach you how to create lasting change in your life. It all starts with awareness and choosing something new.
Does that sound too good to be true? It’s not. Creating a life you love where you’re thriving is totally possible, and it’s not magic and fairy dust. I’m not gonna tell you to just think positive and you’ll have what you want.
I’ll show you how to work with your mind, to clear your blocks, to start new habits, and to get clear on your desires. Of course, there will be work to do, but you can do it and I can guide you.
Are you ready to wake up to what’s been holding you back?
Is it time to choose awareness?
Let’s do it!
